Cardiogenic shock, the most severe clinical presentation of acute heart failure, is associated with an extremely high mortality. Identification of the aetiology, predominating pathophysiological mechanism and selection of the most appropriate management strategy are essential in order to maximise the chances of a favourable outcome. Haemodynamic monitoring can play a pivotal role to characterise cardiogenic shock phenotypes and to guide decision-making. This webinar will present a pathway toward the optimal use of monitoring devices based on the expertise of the invited speakers.
